Why hasn't recruitment changed?

I started life as a recruitment consultant in 1988 – and since that date I have focused my career around the recruitment and training industries in both a franchised and non-franchised environment.

The world of recruitment is viewed with disdain by employers – if you don’t believe me, go and google 2 words – “recruiters are..”

It’s too kind to say that recruiters are a necessary evil, the industry has just become a transactional environment and whatever platitudes recruiters may offer up, the reality is they haven’t really kept pace with the times, they are recruiting for you today in the same way that I did in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

Think about the changes to your business over the last 5-10 years – I estimate that the changes are significant.

So why hasn’t the way you recruit changed?

Why hasn’t the recruitment industry improved, why has it got worse?

Well, (you may not like this piece), recruiters and employers have been complicit in a status quo process – no change is good!

But, it’s not.

Well, today is the day that someone is offering you a different way to recruit.

That doesn’t mean we do it cheaper, although we will reduce your overall recruitment costs, but it does mean we do it better.
